MONDAY

My kids were on spring break last week so it was a departure from our normal routine. We did a few kid-friendly things around the city but mostly lounged at home which was honestly kind of nice. Monday we headed to a trampoline park for a few hours and here is what I wore to supervise. Some version of a tee and jeans is usually what I reach for when I’m spending the day with my kids. I added this little anorak jacket from Everlane, my fisherman sandals also from Everlane, and my Gap suede tote bag to carry our water bottles.
TUESDAY

Tuesday I wore an unpictured sweatshirt and jeans look to my doctor’s appointment then did my workout when I arrived home. This is what I wore when I finally got ready for the day. It worked nicely for a chilly but sunny spring day at the park. I’m finding this navy sweater to fit seamlessly into my wardrobe. I used to never wear navy but ended up experimenting with some pieces a couple years ago, and it’s now become a regular in my closet. For the rest of the look, I’ve got on a denim jacket from Sézane, barrel jeans from Everlane, and woven ballet flats from Frēda Salvador.
WEDNESDAY

This is my favorite look of the week! I love when you put together a outfit in your head, and it actually works. It IS a lot of white, especially for a day with my kids, but I managed it with no stains. I think my youngest has finally reached the age where I don’t have to worry about him coming at me with sticky fingers. New parenting level achieved!
This is also the first look from my Early Spring Capsule Wardrobe which I shared on the blog last week. I’m going to be creating outfits from this capsule for the next month or so. Then I’ll share a late spring capsule with more shorts and dresses worked in.

THURSDAY

I honestly cannot remember what our day entailed at this point, but I liked the look! Another tee and jeans outfits with a suede jacket and my python print ballet flats. These jeans are from Everlane and are labeled as ‘baggy’ but I find them to be more wide leg. I think you could size up for a more baggy fit though. I took these to the tailor to have them taken up a couple inches. I like when my jeans just skim the ground with flats.
FRIDAY

My new silk pants out for their real life debut! These were on my spring wishlist, and I finally snagged them. They are a bit pricey but really good quality. I like that they come in petite sizes as well so no hemming is required. I’ll be doing a blog post with a few outfit ideas for these pants coming up (I like to do this for anything new I add to my wardrobe; it’s such a helpful exercise!) I paired these pants with my navy sweater from Quince and my fisherman sandals. Simple, comfy, chic.
SATURDAY

Okay, this one is my second favorite of the week. This linen top was a major favorite last spring and summer, and I’m so happy to be able to wear it again. Mine is from J.Crew last year, but I linked an almost identical option from The Gap. I’ve also got on my black barrel leg jeans, mesh flats, chunky jewelry, and my black shoulder bag.
SUNDAY

Sunday was Easter, and since we’ve moved away from family, I find the holidays a little bit sad. I miss those big family get togethers where we all bring something to eat and chat all day. This is definitely the hardest part of living in a different city as your family. We did our own little family celebration though with a big brunch and a local Easter egg hunt (followed by several more egg hunts at home.)

Six days in, and I’m really loving the early spring capsule I put together. I honestly feel like having less options to choose from makes getting dressed so much easier. I’ll have another Stitch List coming later this week!
Talk soon, Ashley
I am in Tacoma and always looking for new Seattle places to try. Where is that lovely pie shop?
That denim duo! I love how those shapes work together.
