Style Weekly 2.2
A roundup of my outfits from last week (basically how to style a black tee...)
MONDAY

I love putting on a blazer on a Monday after a casual weekend. It gets me in the mood to get shit done! I like how the black trim of these mesh flats ties back to the black tee. I also added some chunky jewelry to really bring it home.
TUESDAY

On Tuesday, I woke up feeling a little under the weather but tried to push through it with my normal activities including working out. That turned out to be a big mistake because I started to feel much worse afterward. I threw this outfit on as the day was rapidly going downhill so as you can probably tell it’s not my best work. It could have probably been fixed by tucking in this shirt to polish it up and swapping the shoes for something less slipper like.
WEDNESDAY

After starting to feel fairly awful Tuesday evening, I decided to hole up on the couch for the day. I’m glad I had Prue to snuggle with. I watched Father of the Bride and did some online window shopping.
THURSDAY

I felt much better come Thursday so I was able to put together this look which was one of my favorites of the week. She rebounded! My black tee is putting in THE WORK this spring. When I’m wearing an all black outfit like this, I like to add a belt to break it up a bit. Love how this one turned out, and I’d wear it again in a heartbeat.
FRIDAY

Another favorite! I’m smitten with this white cotton poplin skirt, and I like how it has become a more comfortable and springy alternative to my staple denim. I added a little texture (in addition to the suede loafers) by tying a sweater around my waist.
SATURDAY

I threw this look on early in the morning as we were preparing for our yard sale (our entire neighborhood was having one so we joined in.) Garage sale shoppers are EARLY risers, and we had people browsing our selections by 8am. It was a major success, and we sold nearly everything. As far as the outfit goes, this one was perfectly casual for a day of hustling. I do like how the barrel jeans and suede loafers add a little more interest to this basic sweatshirt + denim look.
SUNDAY

Sunday was Mother’s Day so the kids and Danny cooked me up a delicious little breakfast spread then we strolled the farmer’s market where more pastries were consumed. We also had a kid’s soccer game and a grocery run (I hate starting the week without a stocked fridge.) All in all, a good day! I wore this outfit which included a sweater, leather jacket, white poplin skirt, and mesh flats. This basket bag which is an Abby Alley and Natalie Borton Designs collaboration is restocking this week!

I’ll be switching up my capsule wardrobe after this week to a more warm weather approved late spring capsule. I may even sneak in a few noncapsule looks this next week to give myself a little more creative freedom. I have an extra styling post coming later this week in collaboration with Nordstrom. I think you’re gonna love it.
All the best, Ashley
Love so many of these looks. My favorite is the white A-line skirt with the leather jacket!
