MONDAY

Here’s my first week documenting my outfits in the new house. I’m going to be bouncing around a little bit as I find the spots with the best light. We’ll see where I end up!
I was finally able to wear this mini skirt IRL for the first time after packing it away for a month during our move. I first shared it in this post (probably my most favorite shoot ever), and as I remembered, it’s really comfortable and easy to wear. For this look, I paired it with a simple tank and linen shirt tied at the waist (both from Everlane as well.)
TUESDAY

Kicking off my summer bucket list by using our new pool passes. This will probably be my pool uniform: bikini top + linen button down shirt + easy shorts + bucket hat. A button down is my favorite cover up when most other coverups don’t really fit style. Bonus because I have many to choose from in my closet.

WEDNESDAY

I don’t remember what we did this day, but according to my phone this is what I wore. I think I’ve worn this outfit (I mean this exact top and shorts) multiple times every summer for the past two years. I love the combination of navy, brown, and black, and it’s really practical for my casual summer life.
THURSDAY
Easy dresses are the name of the game this time of year. This one from Quince is a real winner; I own it in white as well. Paired with some simple sandals and a basket bag, this look was quick to put together. Note that the bust of this dress runs small; not a problem for me but take that into consideration if you’re planning to purchase it.
FRIDAY

With all the current events happening recently, I didn’t feel too festive, but I wanted to wear red, white, and blue anyway. I had this outfit in mind for the holiday for quite some time. I’ve got on an old Madewell top from last summer (it has a the cutest tie detail in the back), my Donni boxer shorts, and some white Everlane Mary Jane’s.
WEEKEND

Only one outfit photo for you this weekend which includes this sold out dress from Sézane. It’s called the Ariana Dress if you want to search for it secondhand (it’s a good one.) Most of the weekend was spent getting the house organized, but we did manage a trip to the farmer’s market and several water balloons fights (highly recommend these reusable ones from Amazon.)

Feels good to be back in the swing of things around here. Summer is always chaotic though, and I’m trying to embrace the routineless life for the next few weeks.
Talk soon, Ashley
1st place fav: the black denim shorts!! And the 2nd place fav: the Everlane ballet flats! Obsessed. 😍
