Welcome to the first Wardrobe Report! This will be a monthly post where I breakdown all the pieces I added to my closet in the past month. I’ll be tracking all my wardrobe additions, and I’ll be sharing all the details in these posts.
A quick disclosure here: buying clothes and creating outfits is part of my job which means I acquire more clothes than the average person. I also receive gifted items regularly as part of partnerships I have with brands (I know, pinch me!) I’m sharing these posts in hopes that maybe one of these will fill a wardrobe gap for you, not that you’ll purchase everything here.
As part of an effort to be more intentional about my closet in 2025, I’ll be tracking EVERYTHING I add to my closet each month. This is a little scary, but I have hopes that it will provide more insight into my wardrobe and maybe stem some unnecessary purchases going forward.
This month, I added 15 items to my closet. Eight of the items were gifted and 7 items I purchased. Outerwear was the biggest category with accessories coming in second. I’ve been looking ahead to spring with my wardrobe additions (the weather is already warming up here in Seattle, hallelujah!) and also adding more accessories, a category of my wardrobe that I feel is the most lacking.
I’m talking through each item in this video if you prefer to see these items in motion.
Sézane Clyde Trench Coat*
I cannot put into words how much I love this trench coat. The luscious chocolate brown color, the leopard print lining (!!), the easy and effortless fit. It’s now my favorite trench coat in my closet (and I own about five.) I did an entire blog post that includes more details about fit and sizing, but in a nutshell, I recommend taking your true size or sizing down if you’re in between sizes. I’m wearing the 0 here.
Quince Oversized Leather Bomber Jacket
I’m SO happy to add this leather bomber jacket to my forever wardrobe. It comes in at $250 which is a steal for a quality leather jacket. The style is just what I was looking for - an oversized fit with minimal hardware. It comes in and out of stock regularly so just sign up for the email notifications to get notified when your size becomes available. I got my true size, XS, and it has an oversized fit, but size down if you want it to fit closer to the body. I saw a request come in for styling ideas for this jacket so stay tuned for that!
Sézane Will Jacket in Camel Suede
As you can see, I’ve got spring jackets on my mind! I also scooped up this beautiful suede jacket from Sézane. A suede jacket was something I had been missing from my wardrobe. Suede is very trendy right now, but I also think it’s something that’s very timeless as well. I plan to have (and wear) this one for years and years. In terms of sizing, I think it runs a touch small, especially in the shoulders and armpit areas. You may consider sizing up if you have broad shoulders. Sézane also runs small in the wrist cuffs so I tend to unbutton them to allow for more room there. I shared a blog post with eight outfit ideas featuring this jacket (plus more suede jackets to shop at a range of price points.)
Gap Organic Cotton Poplin Big Shirt
I love these shirts! If you’re looking for a cotton poplin button down that you can wear in warmer temperatures, this is it. It’s super affordable and good quality. I took my true size, XS (in the regular, not petite), and it has this cool, oversized fit. You could style this with a mini skirt, tailored shorts, linen pants or shorts, denim shorts, or just with jeans like I have here. I also own it in this tan color as well which is sold out on the Gap site but available on Amazon.
Gap Vegan Suede Slouchy Tote Bag
This bag is BIG so if you’re not into oversized bags, skip this one, but obviously I love it since I’ve worn it a few times a week since I purchased it in the beginning of February. The color is a really rich dark brown color and the quality is nice for the price point.
Madewell Multi Keeper Belt
Making good on my promise to invest more in accessories this year, I added this chunky black belt from Madewell to my closet in February. This style of belt with big chunky hardware is very on trend right now. It’s a very low lift way to update a basic outfit. The silver hardware is really good quality, too. Madewell is currently have their twice yearly Insider Sale so everything is 25% off. It fits true to size.
Cluse Gracieuse Petite Watch in Two Tone
I received this watch for my birthday (by request!) I had been wanting a nice watch, and Danny sent me a few brands to check out. I ended up finding this one which is just what I was looking for. The watch face is a nice size (not too big and not too small), and it has both gold and silver metals which is my favorite feature. Happy birthday to meeee!
Quince Capri Sunglasses
I kept adding these sunglasses to my outfit collages I was posting on my blog so when I ordered my leather jacket, I just put these in my cart as well. It was a good decision! These have a cat eye shape that isn’t too severe if you know what I mean. They add a touch of elegance and polish to my everyday looks, and I’ve been wearing them on repeat lately. Quince is usually my go-to for sunglasses since the price point isn’t too high ($50) that I get nervous about losing them somewhere.
Everlane Boxy Sweater in Everyday Cotton*
This is going to be the sweater I’ll be wearing all spring. It’s the ideal sweater fit - loose and boxy with no tapering at the waist. The color is this perfect, moody charcoal gray which pairs so well with whites, tans, blacks, and browns. Check out this post for more pictures. You could style it with a white tee underneath for a pop of contrast at the neckline, tied around the waist, or over the shoulders. I recommend staying true to size for this relaxed fit (I have the XS.)
Everlane Mid-Way Jean in Bone
As I’ve mentioned, I can’t handle anything too tight around my midsection these days due to my GI issues so I’ve been wanting to add more mid-rise jeans to my wardrobe which feel much more comfortable especially when you’re sitting down for a long time. These have a relaxed fit with a wide leg. As a petite girlie, these fit full length on me and just graze the ground when I’m wearing flats. I recommend staying true to size, but I wanted to note that the darker washes at Everlane tend to run smaller if you’re considering a different wash than the bone.
Everlane Short Anorak *
This cropped anorak jacket has a really nice loose silhouette that just looks cool. The tan color gives it trench coat vibes as well. It also has a removable hood which is a huge plus if you live in a rainy climate like me. I recommend staying true to size; I’m wearing the XS.
Everlane Box Cut Tee*
I have owned several of these tees over the years. They are a nice, high quality basic crewneck tee that are actually quite affordable. I find (being a mom and wearing a white tee A LOT) that I need to replace my white tees after a couple seasons so they look fresh. There is no white tee that will last forever. I like to size up two sizes in these as they run a bit small and tend to shrink a smidge with washing. I have the medium for reference.
Everlane Off Duty Barrel Fit
If you’re a soft pants kind of girl, you’ll LOVE these pants. They feel elevated but have an elasticized waist for comfort. I first shared these in this post with nondenim casual chic outfit ideas and ended up ordering them to try out. You could totally pull these off as trousers if you don’t tuck in your shirt. For me, Everlane pants typically run slightly big so I sized down in these (I have the XXS.)
Everlane 90s Forever Jean*
There’s a new favorite jean in town. Receiving these jeans as part of my Everlane partnership was serendipitous because I had been shopping around for a relaxed fit light wash jean for spring. These have a high rise, but they fit more relaxed in the waist area so I find them to be very comfortable. The leg is a straight leg that is on the wider side. I plan to take these in to the tailor (along with the jeans I’m sharing next) since they are dragging on the floor a bit. I stayed true to size.
Everlane OG Baggy Jean*
The baggy jeans for girls who are new to baggy jeans! These are a great intro into looser styles of denim. They are fitted in the waist and hips but go wide through the thighs and legs. The material is also really, really soft. I can’t wait to style these with a tee, chunky jewelry and minimal sandals for spring. Like I mentioned, the darker washes of Everlane denim tend to run smaller so if you’re in between sizes, you may want to take your larger size in these. I’m planning to take these to the tailor to have them taken up a couple inches so they just graze the ground with flats.
Everlane Dream Mini Skirt*
I forgot to include this skirt in the video, but it’s not to be skipped! This is a great little knit skirt with a slight a-line fit and side zipper. Sometimes, I find skirts to fit too tight in the bootie area but not this one! As soon as the weather gets above 65 degrees, I’m wearing this. I can think of so many ways to style it for spring and summer (should I do a post on it?) I took my true size, XS.
Abby Alley Sling Bag in Ivory Croco*
This is also not included in the video, but I definitely wanted to mention this as well. Abby’s sling bags are by far my favorites. I tend to wear them more in warmer temperatures because they add so much to a simple summer outfit. They are also PERFECT for travel because they keep your hands free. Use code ASHLEYR15 for 15% off.

I hope you enjoyed the first wardrobe report! It’s been enlightening to go through everything like this. I’m working on uploading my wardrobe into Indyx so I can track how often I’m wearing each item. If you have any specific questions about the pieces I shared, drop them in the comments. Thanks for being here and have a good weekend!
Hi! Love this wardrobe, would love to know the brand/style of the white tee. thnx
Love the video review of the items the most! It's unpolished in the best way, in that it's not super curated like content on social media can be, so we get to see the items in motion and even hear (for lack of a better word) how the item moves with you when you move. I hope you continue this monthly installment, might be one of my fave style-based posts on here to date!
